Our talented PhD student, Boon Heng, giving great poster presentation to a gathering crowd at the Society for Cell Biology Singapore (SCBS) Launch.
Congrats to Vinod, who shared the latest work on macrophage-ECM interaction during ovarian ageing.
It’s been a great privilege to have Hugo Raveton with us from Jan - July 2022. All the best to your future endeavour!
Finally, the lab dinner that is long overdue :) And a warm welcome to the summer interns!
Joe and Tsuyoshi Hirashima (incoming PI) reviewed recent advances in our understanding on how fluid dynamics shape mammalian oogenesis and spermatogenesis.
Joe shares the latest finding on theca cell mechanosensing and their function in controlling follicle growth at the 2022 EMBO/EMBL symposium on mechanobiology in development and disease.
Joe shares the latest work from the lab on follicle mechano-hydraulics. Great sessions with plenty of feedback. Thanks to the organisers for the kind invitations!
The Chan lab welcomes research fellows Anna Jaeschke from Germany and Arikta Biswas from India! Anna will be applying her expertise on matrix biology and bioengineering to understand ovarian ageing, while Arikta will develop new imaging and biophysical approaches to study how mechanical stress impacts follicle morphogenesis and oocyte functions.
Our late work Mechanical mapping of mammalian follicle development using Brillouin microscopy is out in Communications Biology! Great collaboration with the Prevedel lab at EMBL Heidelberg.
The Chan lab is grateful to the START Inaugural Grant for supporting our research on understanding ovarian development, ageing and diseases in the coming years!
Joe shares the latest work on ovarian hydraulics with expert scientists from Japan. Plenty of feedback and interactions! Looking forward to future collaborations in this exciting field!
