About Jessica
Jessica comes from a biomedical engineering background (University of Hong Kong, 2017), with research experience in stem cell biology and tissue engineering for drug screening applications. Since joining MBI in 2018 for her PhD, she has focused on adipose tissue, specifically the clearance of dying fat cells and immune landscape changes within the tissue. In line with this, Jessica is interested in the emerging field of mechanoimmunology, which investigates how mechanical forces mediate immune cell migration and target killing.
