Biography

Dongyu Xu earned her Ph.D. in Biology (2022-2025) from Southeast University under the supervision of Prof. Renjie Chai. Her doctoral research focused on the application of piezoelectric biomaterials in neural tissue engineering and drug delivery. She has developed expertise in bridging materials science with biomedical engineering through multidisciplinary approaches, including colloidal crystal self-assembly, electrospinning, and hydrogel synthesis. She then joins Prof. Hanry Yu’s team at the MBI as a Research Fellow to explore the establishment and monitoring of in vitro biomimetic systems.
