Congratulations to Avery Rui Sun on his selection to deliver a seminar at the CEMB Future Leaders in Mechanobiology Seminar Series!

Hosted at Center for Engineering Mechanobiology (CEMB), University of Pennsylvania, USA, the Future Leaders in Mechanobiology is a monthly seminar series featuring up-and-coming leaders in mechanobiology – PhD students and postdocs from a wide range of fields, backgrounds, and institutions. By providing an international stage to share one’s work and opportunities to interact with researchers at all career stages, this seminar series aims to create an inclusive and valuable series for early-stage researchers and the mechanobiology community as a whole.

Avery’s talk was entitled “Deciphering the distinct roles of extracellular matrix ligands and mechanics in cardiac aging”, and was hosted by Prof. Paul A Janmey, UPenn.

Speaking on his experience, Avery said: “I was honored to be selected to speak at this exciting seminar series. Sharing our recent research via CEMB with a global audience was a very rewarding experience. I also had great discussions with some of the greatest minds in the field and got insightful feedback that will help me with my future research and career.
