The Mechanobiology Institute, Singapore (MBI) and the Biophysical Society, USA (BPS) are holding the MBI-BPS “Mechanobiology of Disease” Thematic Meeting at the University Cultural Centre, NUS, from September 27-30, 2016.

The Mechanobiology of Disease thematic meeting aims to bring together an interdisciplinary set of researchers and technology partners that are investigating and exploiting mechanical properties of cells that are associated with disease or dysfunction. The meeting will bring together world leaders in these topics to identify scientific areas of impact in understanding and treating disease, as well as inspire the development of drug screening tools, diagnostics and therapeutics that target or exploit the mechanobiology of cells. Such a unique biophysical perspective has the potential to bring solutions for a range of disease states.

  • Early Registration closes on July 5, 2016.
  • The deadline for Abstract Submission is July 11, 2016.

Submitted abstracts will be selected to be presented as either short talks or posters.
