Sanchit KORDE
PhD Student
Research Areas
Cellular behavior under 3D confinement, tissue-mimicking biomaterials
Qualifications
BS-MS in Biological Sciences with Minor in Engineering Biology from IISER Berhampur (2021-2026)
Visiting MS Researcher at the HHMI Janelia Research Campus (2025-2026)
Background
Sanchit has interdisciplinary interests of understanding cellular behavior under 3D confinement and fabricating tissue-mimicking biomaterials for medical applications. During his MS thesis, he investigated the molecular mechanisms regulating epithelial cell migration in the embryonic mouse salivary gland using pharmacological perturbations and genetic knockouts both, coupled with two-photon live imaging.
OTHER PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENTS
- Poster Presentation at the ASCB Cell Bio 2025 Conference at Philadelphia, USA
- Silver Medalist, international Genetically Engineering Machine (iGEM-2025) Competition
