Tuesday, 15 November, 2016, 5.30pm at IMB (Institute of Medical Biology) Seminar Room NEUROS, Level 6, Biopolis (see map)

MBI’s Linda J Kenney will be speaking at Biopolis on Tuesday the 15th of November on “Five Words That Changed My Life.” Prof Kenney is a principal investigator at MBI whose lab specializes in signal transduction and the regulation of gene expression in prokaryotes. In particular, they are studying the two-component regulatory system EnvZ/OmpR that regulates the expression of outer membrane proteins as well as many other genes.

Dr Kenney’s present work focuses on how OmpR activates genes required for systemic infection (located on Salmonella pathogenicity island 2) in Salmonella enterica. Learn more about Prof Kenney’s research.
