DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, 19 April\, 5:30pm at SIgN (Singapore Immunology Network) Conference Room at Immunos Level 4 \nAbout Dr Renuga Gopal\nRenuga is a scientist-entrepreneur\, who was born and raised in Singapore. As a young girl\, like many who have a passion for science\, she assumed that she would become an engineer or a scientist. However\, through a series of fortunate events\, she evolved to be an entrepreneur. Renuga co-founded her first company BioMers\, while pursuing her PhD at NUS in Mechanical Engineering. At BioMers\, she learnt many valuable lessons  – made mistakes – that shaped her both personally and professionally. When at a crossroad after seven years at BioMers\, she decided to leave the comfort of a secure job and find herself again. This time-off eventually led to Renuga starting 2 other companies in late 2013. She is currently the CEO of one of those companies – Matralix\, which is also a spin-off from NUS. In this sharing session\, she will talk about her journey that led to her career path.
