SUMMARY:MBIw: Engineering sperm-like oscillatory locomotion based on instability By Lailai Zhu
DESCRIPTION:MBI Weekly Seminar\nTime: 10am\nDate: Friday\, 30 April 2021\nVenue: Online seminar via ZOOM \nEngineering sperm-like oscillatory locomotion based on instability\nBy Lailai Zhu\, Assistant Professor\, NUS\, Singapore (Host: Dr. Chii Jou Chan) \nBiography\nLailai Zhu obtained his PhD degree from KTH\, Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) in 2014. He then worked as a postdoc at EPFL (Switzerland) till 2016. After that\, he joined the group of Prof. Howard A. Stone at Princeton University as a postdoc. Since 2020\, Jan\, he joined ME at NUS as a tenure-track assistant professor. He mainly uses theory and simulations to address viscous flow problems involving bio-physics\, bio-inspired design and microfluidics. \n  \nFind Help\nNon MBI staff who are interested in attending should contact Qiao Jing at mbilqj@nus.edu.sg for Zoom details. If you are having difficulty connecting\, contact the MBI ITCore at mbit@nus.edu.sg.
