Early Career Researchers’ Symposium 2025
In conjunction with MBI-MPG Conference 2025
Monday, 8 September 2025
The ECR Symposium is an exciting opportunity for postgraduate students, doctoral & post-doctoral researchers, and early career scientists to share their work, explore and exchange new ideas, and receive feedback on their data in mechanobiology.
The symposium encourages an engaging, friendly, and interactive atmosphere where all attendees can actively participate in discussions instead of being passive observers. Participants will have time to connect with established researchers, experienced group leaders, and peers to learn about recent advances in the field, discuss potential collaborations and develop a supportive network that can last well beyond the event.
Programme
The ECR Symposium will run in four sessions:
Sessions IA and IB will be scientific presentations selected for abstract submissions from submitted abstracts towards the main conference programme. These sessions will consist of short talks and flash talks by ECRs.
Session II will be a panel discussion around two topics:
- Overworked to overjoyed: Making time for what matters
- Scientific publishing in the digital age: Challenges and opportunities
Session III will be a structured and interactive networking session with attending PIs in groups.

The deadline for registration is as mentioned for the main conference. Application cost of this event is already included in the main conference’s registration fees.
